A report in Saturday's Telegraph claims that property giants such as Hammerson, Hermes and DTZ are drawing up plans to develop 'green leases'. One of the ideas under consideration by the group is introducing gross leases - these would see landlords pay for all bills related to running a building, giving it a huge them a huge incentive to force tenants to reduce consumption.
