Here's a round-up the most significant sustainability news I've picked up in the last week:

• Valuing sustainability - Last Friday saw a group (gaggle? pride?) of surveyors gather in Vancouver to discuss the link between sustainability and building values, reports Property Week. The story is for subscribers only - I'll follow it up this week
• Curve your enthusiasm - Apparently if you arch the blade of a wind turbine it makes them 5-10% more efficient. Maria Energia (great name) reports on this on her blog
• Micro-renewables farce - Channel 4 News highlighted the fact that the Government's monthly fund for household micro-renewables is running out within hours of it being offered to the general public. The Ends Report also has coverage on the Low Carbon Buildings Programme.

European Union Sustainable Energy Week - Did you know this happened back in January? I didn't. The RICS' Jill Craig went along and wrote about it in last week's Building (subscriber only)

The Harvard Business Review - There's a new article in this month edition called Competitive Advantage on a Warming Planet. You can buy a PDF of it for $6. I'll offer a precis later this week.

All roads (or cycle paths) lead to Peterborough - The area in and around Peterborough has the biggest concentration of environmental goods and services firms and organisations in the UK apparently. The Ends Report look at a cluster being created to drive home this advantage.

One to watch - The upcoming edition of Building Services Journal is jam packed with sustainable coverage. I'll let you know when it's all up online. Control your excitement.
